PRP Hair Treatment
Thinning hair can be devastating. Androgenic alopecia, the most common type of hair loss, affects up to 80% of men and 40% of women. Injecting platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a minimally invasive technique that promotes hair regrowth. PRP hair treatments can densify and restore hair loss from a variety of different conditions including:
What is PRP?
Blood plasma contains platelets and many types of growth factors. PRP is obtained by drawing a small blood sample and spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate your body’s own platelets and growth factors. In this way, PRP turns your blood into your own naturally derived growth serum to promote hair growth. Hair loss medications such as minoxidil and finasteride can have side effects, whereas PRP rarely has side effects.
Why choose Stein Aesthetics?
Stein Aesthetics has perfected a micro-injection technique to deliver PRP. Our refined methodology is virtually painless and blood-free. Our micro-injection technique effectively stimulates hair growth. PRP on its own can promote hair regrowth, but in combination with FUE hair transplantation, even the bald spot can be cured. Our aesthetic medicine team will determine the best treatment for you.
Am I a good candidate?
You may wish to book a comprehensive hair analysis. During this appointment, Dr. Stein will thoroughly evaluate your hair loss patterns and medical history from which we can design a customized treatment plan. Depending on the patient, a successful PRP protocol typically requires 3-6 monthly sessions with semi-annual follow ups. For further PRP hair questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
