Thinning hair or hair loss can be devastating. Androgenic alopecia, which is the most common type of hair loss affects up to 80% of men and 40% of women.
What is PRP?
PRP (Platelet-Rich-Plasma) hair treatment is a fairly new and increasingly recognized treatment for hair loss and thinning hair. It is a minimally invasive technique that promotes hair growth. Blood plasma contains platelets and many types of growth factors. PRP turns your blood into your own naturally derived growth serum to promote hair growth. Scalp tissues are rejuvenated since there are at least 7 growth factors in platelets that help stimulate hair growth. This treatment almost has no side effects or allergic reactions. It is, therefore, more reliant to use than hair loss medications such as minoxidil and finasteride. PRP can treat hair loss in both men and women.
About the PRP Treatment:
PRP is obtained by drawing a small blood sample of your own and spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate your body’s platelets and growth factors, and separating it from the red and white blood cells. After the separation, the Platelet Rich Plasma is extracted from the tube and injected into the area of required treatment. Each treatment takes approximately 45 minutes to one hour and has no recovery time.
What does PRP treat?
PRP hair treatments can densify and restore hair loss from a variety of different conditions including:
